Please voice your support for wolves at the ODFW public hearing on November 9th in Salem. ODFW is proposing to delist wolves from the state endangered species list. The commission needs to hear loud and clear that Oregonians support strong protections for wolves, and that approximately 83 wolves is not a recovered population. The meeting starts at 8am. Meeting details are on the ODFW site at: http://www.dfw.state.or.us/agency/commission/minutes/15/11_november/index.asp
Testimony is limited to 3 minutes for each member of the public. Anyone can testify. If you wish to testify, you must put your name on the testimony sign-up sheet that will be available at the hearing. We recommend signing up as early as possible, preferably when the meeting starts (8 am). It is helpful to have a written copy of your testimony, and to make 20 hard copies of your testimony to give to the commissioners. Sample testimony for the public hearing can be found here.
Additional resources and information for talking points can be found here.
You can also email comments to the commission by Friday November 6th at 5pm at: odfw.commission@state.or.us. Be sure to include your name and address.
